Planning for the ATHRA Perth Meeting in September and optional pre-meeting tour is now well advanced. The itineray is set out below with more details available in ATHRA News #4 - May 2010.
NB: There has been one small change to the Itinerary listed and we will now be staying at Kojonup instead of Collie on the Monday evening.

People wishing to join the pre-meeting tour are asked to send a deposit of $300 to confirm their booking.
Cheques are to be made payable to ATHRA and sent to the ATHRA Treasurer, 14 Faifax Road, Swan View 6056.

TOUR ITINERARY
Sunday 29th August (or earlier)
Tour participants arrive in Perth. Enjoy the sights of Perth or shopping at your own leisure.
Monday 30th August
Tour will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Perth Terminal for an 8.55am departure on the Merredin Link to Northam - along the spectacular Avon Valley in spring time! Then it is down south to the Kojonup Tourist Railway. Overnight in Kojonup.
Tuesday 31st August
Inspect Collie Railway Heritage Group and restoration works followed by visit to SW Rail Heritage Centre, Boyanup and other sites (e.g. historic Yarloop Workshops). Overnight in the South-West.
Wednesday 1st September
Travel to Pinjarra for 10.30am trip on Hotham Valley Railway to Dwellingup and then return to Perth on the new electric train service from Mandurah. Overnight Central Perth hotel (luggage delivered).
Thursday 2nd September
Pick up from Perth to Whiteman Park – inspect and ride on the PETS trams and Bennett Brook trains with time to visit Revolutions or Motor Museum and Bus Preservation Society. In the afternoon we visit some Swan Valley tourist icons.
Friday 3rd September
Free time in Perth to visit the sights with the option of a River Cruise.

MEETING SCHEDULE
Saturday 4th September
Full day meeting at Rail Museum Bassendean – conference style presentations. Evening function ‘buffet roast’.
Sunday 5th September
Morning meeting at Rail Museum Bassendean – presentations and/or workshop.
To the airport for afternoon flights.
